Dr. Turner earned a PhD with a concentration in Consumer, Apparel and Retail Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina Greensboro and a BS degree in Industrial Management with a concentration in Industrial Engineering and Supply Chain Operations from Clemson University.
Prior to completing his PhD, he worked in industry for over 22 years in variety of progressive management/leadership supply chain roles with companies as diverse as VF Corporation, London Fog Industries, First Horizon Bank and JC Penney, and in his last role, he served as Vice-President of Global Logistics with Masco Corporation, a Fortune 500 company. He has also served in a part-time management consultant role with the Clarkston Executive Alliance a division of Clarkston Consulting in Durham, NC.
His research interests focus on business models in the experience economy, agile supply chain practices, enterprise integration, emerging alternative retail markets and consumer behavior for athletic and outdoor apparel. In his free time he enjoys traveling with his family and cheering for Clemson and ECU. Go Tigers!, Go Pirates!
