The mission of the Department of Finance is to provide support for the College of Business in the areas of managerial finance, banking, financial services, business law and real estate. The Department facilitates an environment where students and faculty can develop applied and theoretical knowledge as the basis for successful financial management of both large and small organizations and in providing financial services to both individuals and financial institutions.
This purpose is achieved through offering two concentrations: financial services and managerial finance. Each concentration furnishes professional education in relevant methods of financial management. The Department of Finance also contributes to the College of Business by providing high quality graduate courses through the graduate school (MBA and MSA programs) and by offering courses required for admission to the College of Business.
