Ms. Betcher furthers the research mission of the College by assisting faculty and department staff with all aspects of developing competitive proposals in a timely fashion. She also presents and coordinates informational sessions on RAMSeS, budget guidelines and narrative development, sponsor regulations and requirements, funding opportunities, ECU compliance and adherence to other guidelines.

Dr. Putnam-Evans administers the college research awards and the Glaxo Scholars Program. She disseminates information relating to funding available for college researchers and reviews and approves grant proposals. In addition, Dr. Putnam-Evans serves as liaison between the college and the university's Division of Research, Office of Sponsored Programs, and Grants Administration.

Ms. Gray enhances the presence of the college to both the internal and external campus community through the creation and distribution of college news that includes press releases, alumni articles, event announcements, Voyages Lecture Series advertising, and college newsletters. She works in coordination with the college's instructional technology consultant in regards to the college web site, and in coordination with both the director of development and major gifts officer in creating college campaign and donor materials. In addition, Ms. Gray represents the college at monthly meetings of the Campus Communicators group.

Ms. Harley monitors and reconciles the college's departmental and program budgets. She also tracks and processes all expenditures.

College Personnel Coordinator

Ms. Harrison is one of two College Personnel Coordinators in the Dean's Office who serve as the point-of-contact for EPA personnel issues.  She reviews and assists with all EPA personnel actions for the departments of Anthropology, Economics, Geography, Planning and Environment, Mathematics, Political Science, Psychology and Sociology.

Dr. Leorri's duties include oversight of college space allocation, oversight of the Harriot College departments' outcome assessments, serving as a liaison to the SACS Planning Group and Compliance Certification Council, serving as a liaison to IPAR and ensuring the integrity of COACHE, Deleware, and CUPA reports, and monitoring and analyzing college SCH production.

Ms. Letsinger is one of two College Personnel Coordinators in the Dean's Office who serve as the point-of-contact for EPA personnel issues.  She reviews and assists with all EPA personnel actions for the departments of Biology, Chemistry, English, Foreign Languages and Literatures, Geological Sciences, History, Philosophy and Physics.

Dr. Maher assists undergraduate students and faculty with grade appeals, student-faculty conflicts, and advising issues. He oversees the Harriot College Advising and Academic Resource Center and coordinates the college's Student Engagement and Learning Initiative. He also provides consultation and guidance for undergraduate curriculum and program development in the college and acts as the dean's representative for administrative approval of curriculum proposals at the College Curriculum Committee.

Ms. Miller is the business operations officer for the Dean's Office, executive assistant to the Dean, SPA employment manager, EPA recruitment coordinator and Dean's liaison with the 15 departments in the college.

Mr. Murphy assists faculty with incorporating teaching technologies into their face-to-face and DE courses by offering group trainings and one-on-one consultations. Percevial also interfaces with other technology groups on campus to stay abreast of new new tools and services that can benefit Arts & Sciences faculty and works on other technology related projects. He also manages the college Website.

I support, encourage, and promote ECU and Thomas Harriot College of Arts and Sciences' missions and visions by interacting with our alumni, friends, and the greater community. My goal is to engage and connect these constituents with Harriot College to garner support and secure resources that will enhance Harriot College's unique place at East Carolina University. The resources Harriot College receives actually touch each and every undergraduate student at ECU, our own graduate students, and transform the lives of these students, the citizens of eastern North Carolina, the state and beyond.
