The Department of Biology hires undergraduate assistants (UAs) for each fall and spring semester. Each UA will assist the instructors of two sections of an introductory biology course, or assist one section of a course and serve as a supplemental instruction tutor. Duties may include grading, proctoring exams, helping with class activities, and holding help sessions for students. UAs are expected to perform approximately 10 hours of work per week. Students who have taken Biological Instruction (Biol 2800) will be given strong preference for these positions.
Applications for upcoming semesters are made available in mid-November (for spring semesters) and mid-April (for fall semesters). For more information, contact Dr. Heather Vance-Chalcraft ( email@example.com).
