Interdisciplinary Doctoral Program in Biological Sciences
The cross-disciplinary and integrative training approach emphasized in the programs is the future of scientific research, and faculty are committed to providing graduate students with skills to be successful in a range of careers. The interdisciplinary sciences PhD program is a 77- to 84-semester-hour program. A comprehensive exam, written dissertation, presentation, and defense are required of all doctoral candidates.

IDPBS Research and Assistantship Funding
Students admitted to the IDPBS biology concentration are guaranteed assistantship support for five years through a combination of teaching and research assistantships provided that they are making acceptable progress toward degree completion.
