Environmental Education: Ecology lecturer and Ecology Lab supervisor. Developing Internet-interactive supplemental text.

Primary research interests include: applied reasearch in wetland ecosystems and watersheds; ecosystem restoration in Southeastern upland and wetland ecosystems; ecosystem restoration and forestry in Costa Rican tropical forests.

Professional Societies: Society of Wetland Scientists, North Carolina Academy of Science, Organization for Tropical Studies, Sigma Xi, Society for Ecological Restoration.
