Chemistry Placement Test Update

During the Spring 2008 early registration period, the normal prerequisite restrictions to registering for CHEM 1150 (namely that a student have a passing score on the Chemistry Placement Test or a passing grade in CHEM 0150) will be lifted.  A formula-based placement that uses SAT (or ACT) Math scores and High School GPA is currently being implemented in Banner by the Registrar's office, but due to a backlog of prior work, the implementation will not be completed in time for early registration.  Advisors are therefore encouraged to recommend CHEM 0150 to students who have limited math and science backgrounds , or who are otherwise hesitant to enroll in CHEM 1150.
