Timm Hackett serves as the chair of the University's Distance Education and Learning Technology Committee. He also serves as the vice-chair of Unit Code Screening Committee. For the past three Summers, Timm has served as one the lead mentors for the Office of Faculty Excellence's
Teaching with Technology Workshops.
On the department level, Timm serves as the Communication Director. In the past, he served as the Fixed-term Faculty Committee chairperson and the chair of the Distance Education Committee.
