Chandra Speight Cerutti joined the East Carolina University faculty in 2001 and has taught courses in both the Departments of Political Science and English. As an undergraduate at ECU, she was awarded the 1996 English Department Outstanding Senior Award and the University Award. She has worked as a research consultant for The International Center for Research on Women and The United States Agency for International Development. After earning a master's degree in political science from Penn State, she returned to ECU to complete a second M.A. in English with a focus on multicultural literature and a minor in women's studies.
