Cheryl Dudasik-Wiggs has been honored with both the Bertie Fearing Excellence in Teaching Award and the English Department Service Award; and in spring 2009, she was named an ECU Leadership Fellow after completing the Chancellor's Leadership Academy. She served as Director of the ECU Women's Studies Program for ten years and continues to work for women’s equality and safety on campus. In addition to teaching in the English Department, Cheryl teaches Women’s Studies courses and is a doctoral candidate in Educational Leadership (Higher Education Administration).
