Christy Hallberg joined the ECU faculty in 2000. Her research interests include the integration of musical rhythms in fiction and the use of root work and hoodoo in literature. Her work has appeared in such publications as North Carolina Literary Review, Pitkin Critical Arts Review, and Mainstreet Rag.
