Randall Martoccia has taught nearly eighty classes since 1998--mostly freshman composition but occasionally the more interesting classes you see below. In the fall of 2006, he taught his 1500th student and is now well on his way to two thousand. (His two-thousandth, by the way, will receive a free George Foreman grill.) Since earning his MA in creative writing, Martoccia has widened his interests to include contemporary literature, screenwriting, and film-making. In 2004, through his company Lawnchair Productions, he produced a short film, "Charlie-Go-Round." His company's next project will be a short comedy about sculptors, called "The Shape I'm In." Martoccia once loved the open road more than anything, but now long trips in the car just make his disposition irritable and his back achy. He is confident that advances in lumbar-support technology will one day make driving fun again.
