Diane Rodman joined the English faculty in August 2004. In 2007, she was appointed Art Editor for the North Carolina Literary Review. In 2009, she received the Bertie E. Fearing Department of English Excellence in Teaching Award. In 2009, she also received the Department of English Service Award.
