Thomas Harriot College of Arts and Sciences provides a wealth of resources for its faculty members at various stages in their career.
New and prospective faculty can find relocation information that includes a list of moving companies that offer discounts to ECU employees, various regional chambers of commerce and county websites, general employee information, and information on ECU’s employment opportunities.
As faculty prepare teaching materials, the THCAS website offers models for class attendance policies, grading and testing policies, information on adverse weather operations, and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, as well as information on an array of other topics. The College also offers a suite of technology resources and the one-on-one services of the College’s own Instructional Technology Consultant, Percevial Murphy [telephone: 737-1753].
THCAS research centers such as the Center for Geographic Information Science are open to faculty for a variety of workshops.
