INTERESTS Professor Castaño-Schultz is pre-major advisor of intended Spanish students and often leads study-abroad groups in the summer to her beloved Córdoba, Argentina. Students greatly appreciate these experiences: "I think that the trip was such an amazing experience, more so than venturing to college in another state, this was a true adventure, which turned out to be one of the greatest times of my life. I met people that I have kept in touch with that are truly great friends. It gave me the opportunity to meet people from all over the world. Living with a host family really gave me an inside look at how life really was in Argentina. Besides, living with people from Brazil, Belgium, Japan, Montana, New York, as well as with a local was in itself an eye-opening experience. It was truly a worldly experience.
