SPANISH PLACEMENT TEST
It is necessary to take a Placement Test before enrolling in SPAN 1001.
Placement tests in Spanish are available online at Spanish Placement Test. The login password is "pirates1". Once you are logged in, use the drop down box to select Spanish, then click Begin. Use your Banner ID for your ID Number. After completion of the placement test and by clicking Finished, your results will be sent to Jason Walker (walkerj@ecu.edu), who will enter them into the system and send you an email stating that your results have been entered.
FRENCH PLACEMENT TEST
Students do not need to take a Placement Test before in enrolling in FREN 1001. However, students with previous experience in French should complete the French Placement Test.

Students interested in Latin placement should contact Prof. John Stevens, Director of Classical Studies (stevensj@ecu.edu). Testing at other times and in other languages including Classical Greek, Italian, Japanese, and Russian, may be possible by special arrangement, contact Jason Walker(walkerj@ecu.edu) for more information.
