Current Scholarship and Internship Opportunities



Robert E. and Margeryfay R. Cramer Scholarship, $750


The Dept. of Geography is soliciting applications from ECU undergraduates who plan to study abroad in one semester or one school year.  The requirement includes:
a)    A full-time ECU sophomore or above,
b)    2.5 minimum cumulative GPA from the ECU transcript,
c)    The student will be enrolled as a full-time student in a university of a foreign country, and
d)    After finishing the study abroad, the student is required to write a short letter to show his/her appreciation for the financial support from the Cramer family through the Dept. of Geography.

The deadline for the application is 3/01/2014. Please send/email your one-page application stating your plan to study abroad, and a copy of current ECU transcript to Dr. Tom Allen, at

For further information, please contact Dr. Tom Allen at (252) 328-6624. It should be noted that the Dept. of Geography may want the money refunded from an awarded student if he/she fails to enroll as a full-time student in the foreign university.  An official transcript or copy from the foreign institution can be forwarded to Geography Dept. as an evidence for the enrollment if requested.
 

  Department of Geography Scholarship

a)    Awarded to a sophomore, junior, or senior geography major with a minimum 3.0 GPA in the program and a 2.5 minimum  cumulative GPA.
b)    Submit university transcript and one letter of recommendation from a geography professor.
