Scholarship Opportunities

Robert E. and Margeryfay R. Cramer Scholarship, $750

The Dept. of Geography, Planning and Environment invites applications for the Cramer Scholarship, for ECU undergraduates who plan to study abroad in one semester or one school year. The requirements include:
  • A full-time ECU undergraduate with sophomore standing or above,
  • Pursuing a major in Geography, Urban & Regional Planning, Applied Atmospheric Science, or GIST
  • Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA at ECU, 
  • The student will be enrolled as a full-time student while studying at an ECU study abroad program or in an accredited program in the foreign country, 
  • A one-page letter of application, stating your study abroad plan,
  • One letter of recommendation from a faculty member in the Dept. of Geography, Planning and Environment.

Undergraduate Geography Scholarship, $500

  • Awarded to an outstanding sophomore, junior, or senior student in the Department of Geography, Planning and Environment with a minimum 3.0 GPA in the program of study and a 2.5 minimum cumulative GPA.
  • A one-page letter of application, stating your career goals.
  • One letter of recommendation from a faculty member in the Dept. of Geography, Planning and Environment.
Application Deadline for both scholarships: February 1
