Thank you for your interest in the M.S. in Geography at East Carolina University! We have an active and growing graduate program, with students pursuing a wide range of interests. The ECU Geography Department is friendly and diverse, with faculty expertise in Human and Environmental Geography, GIS, Applied Atmospheric Science, and Urban and Regional Planning. Our students graduate in two years and go on to jobs in government and the private sector or prestigious Ph.D. programs around the country.

The MS in Geography now offers a professional science master's concentration in Geographic Information Science. This option allows students to pursue advanced training in logistics, management information systems, marketing, or public administration while simultaneous developing professional skills valued by employers. The concentration is a certified PSM modeled on recommendations by the National Professional Science Master's Association (NPSMA).
