Welcome to the Department of Geography at East Carolina University!

Our program explores the connections between society, land use, landform processes, and climate, linking these disciplines with cutting-edge geospatial technologies.

The Department is energetic, collegial, and enthusiastically caught up in the excitement of contemporary, relevant geography. Our faculty and students collaborate in a research and learning environment that applies the best in multidisciplinary scholarship.

East Carolina University is the third largest university in the North Carolina System. Greenville is a pleasant and progressive community of about 80,000. It's a very nice scale for most students and faculty — not too big and not too small. Greenville is the cultural, educational, and economic center of North Carolina's historic coastal plain.

We invite you to learn more about the Department of Geography at East Carolina University through our web page. We do hope that you'll visit us in person if you haven't yet had the opportunity. Please don't hesitate to contact me for more information.
