The Center for Geographic Information Science (GISci) at East Carolina University provides a central facility and support for enhancing research, instructional, and outreach activities that use geographically referenced data. The Center serves ECU faculty and students as well as off-campus public and private clients.
The Center:
· provides assistance with the acquisition, quantitative analysis, and visualization of geographically referenced data
· can supply consulting services in the areas of Geographic Information Science, cartographic design and production, and the Global Positioning System
· offers ESRI authorized software training and educational opportunities that reflect campus and community needs
· serves as a clearing house for communicating current developments in relevant hardware, software, and databases
