No registration is required for the major public lectures during the Conference.
However, since one of the purposes of the Conference is to encourage and facilitate discussions on the life and career of Thomas Harriot and his historical legacy, conference participants are encouraged to register for the Conference deliberations. Registrants will be provided with in-depth information about Thomas Harriot, an invitation to participate in collegial discussions during the conference, and invitations to a number of smaller private conclaves during the course of the Conference.

Housing During the Conference
Rooms have been reserved at economy hotels on each of the following nights as indicated. Housing information will be provided to all participants in the conference and to individuals who are registered for the conference. As all accommodations are economy in nature, rates for rooms range from $40 to $60 per night inclusive of taxes. In addition to hotel lodging in the Research Triangle and Greenville, there will be available a limited number of dormitory rooms in Manteo for the use of conference registrants seeking further economy.

However, it has been the Greenville residence for one of the conference organizers for many years and is operated by a very hospitable family—Mohan and Ranjana Patel—who will assure good and personal service for one and all. Transportation during the Conference
Harriot College will provide a van shuttle for registered participants in the conference on a scheduled basis between conference lodgings and event venues in the Research Triangle (including Chapel Hill on 1 April and Raleigh on 2 April); between Raleigh and Greenville on 2 April; from Greenville to Manteo on 3 April; to sites at Manteo on 4 April; and from Manteo to Greenville and Raleigh Durham International on 5 April. The van service is intended only to provide group transport from conference lodging to event venues. All other transportation will be the responsibility of participants. No custom transportation for individuals to or from other destinations can be provided.
