Lab Safety Training

At ECU it is mandatory for any person working within a chemical laboratory setting to complete the laboratory safety quiz. This quiz prepares a volunteer for working safely within a lab environment by informing them of possible dangers in the lab and precautions that can be taken to avoid those dangers. If you have been instructed to complete the lab safety quiz, please go to the Office of Environmental Health and Safety website here. You will need to view the powerpoint and complete the quiz by clicking on the link at the end (the Powerpoint must be in presentation mode or you can copy and paste the link). You will need the following information to complete the quiz:

Department Name: Anthropology

Supervisor/Lab Instructor: Susanne Grieve Rawson

Laboratory Number: Flanagan 279

Location and revision date of the ECU Chemical Hygiene Plan: Window sill by the emergency shower, September 2014

Names, revision dates, and location of lab safety plan: Varies according to chemical, January 2013, Sharepoint

Location and revision date of the chemical inventory: Window sill by the emergency shower/Sharepoint, September 2014

Location of the MSDS/SDS: Window sill by the emergency shower

You will then complete lab specific training with the Lab Supervisor.
