Julianne spent half of her childhood in Buffalo, New York and the other half (so far) in Cary, North Carolina with her mom and sister. While in NC, Julianne attended Appalachian State University, where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in International Relations, as well as a minor in Political Science. Following graduation, Julianne decided to take a wonderful year off from school before attending East Carolina University, where she is now earning her Masters degree in International Studies with a concentration in Security Studies. Prior to completing her MAIS, Julianne will be learning Arabic at NCSU during the summer of 2013, followed by a semester abroad at the American University in Cairo, Egypt. Because of her love for travel, it is Julianne’s goal, after she graduates, to work for a governmental agency (preferably located in D.C.) that offers Foreign Service work in order to continue her exploration of the world. Julianne has currently been to England, France, Italy, and Canada and is hoping to add more countries to the list. Aside from traveling, Julianne really enjoys getting lost in a good book (usually politically or fictionally based). She also enjoys writing, watching hockey (Buffalo Sabres), and spending time with family and friends.
