Alumni Conference

Joins us for an Alumni Conference on Friday from 10am-3pm in Mendenhall Great Rooms 2 and 3. The conference will include showcase presentations by alumni about their recent research, work and career. Special Lecture and Celebration, Friday 27th

Join us from 5-7pm for a special lecture by founders and former directors of the program, Dr. William (Bill) Still (Founder and former Director), Dr. Bradley Rodgers (Director), and Dr. Larry Babits (former Director). The event will be held in the Club Level of the ECU Football Stadium. Parking is free. For a formal program of the Special Lecture, please click here. (Program to come)

Reception, Friday 27th

Join us from 7-9pm for a post-lecture reception at Winslow’s Tavern downtown. Hor d’oeurves will be provided and a cash bar will be open.

Maritime Studies Association Brunch, Saturday 28th

The student organization, Maritime Studies Association, will be hosting a fundraising brunch on Saturday morning 10-1130am. Bring cash or checks to purchase maritime swag (i.e. t-shirts). All donations and proceeds go to supporting student conference travel.

Dr. Rodgers’ Spooky Halloween, Saturday 28th

And to complete the celebrations, Dr. Rodgers is hosting his infamous Halloween party. Come dressed or you will be dressed upon arrival! Party starts at 7pm and ends at 11pm.

Accommodations and Parking

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide funding for alumni accommodations however if you email Dr. Jennifer McKinnon, she will provide you with an official personalized letter you may present to your employer to seek funding/support from them. Also, don’t forget to hit up the professors because they may have space for you! Check out 5th St. Manor if you are interested in accommodation within walking distance of all activities.
