Math 1065 Lab

The Pirate CAVE Math 1065 Lab Blog Site

Students taking Math 1065 will register for one 50 minutes class meeting each week.
Students will meet with their instructor in a classroom on a designated day and time for a 50 minute lecture (see student schedule in Banner for this information). Students will be assigned weekly work which must be completed in ALEKS (an online adaptive learning platform
Math 1065 students are REQUIRED to spend a minimum of 3 flexible hours each week in the Pirate CAVE (a math tutorial lab).
Students will sign in and out when they are enter/leave the CAVE using their ECU 1Card. It is recommended that students spread out CAVE hours into 30 minute - 1 hour visits. It is not recommended to complete all 3 CAVE hours in one visit.
Pirate CAVE Operational Hours:
Monday - 9:00 am to 9:00 pm
Tuesday - 9:00 am to 9:00 pm
Wednesday - 9:00 am to 1:00 pm & 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Thursday - 11:00 am to 9:00 pm
Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

At all times the CAVE is open there are instructors and/or GTAs, as well as undergraduate tutors, available to provide individualized help to students.  All tests, including the final exam, must be taken in the CAVE . Students are required to schedule a time to take all tests (and the final exam) using our test registration site. CAVE employees can assist students with registering for tests.

First Day Attendance in Math 1065 is Mandatory.

Any student that is counted absent on the first day of class will be dropped from Math 1065 and will not be added back to the course for the current semester. To be counted present a student must attend the full 50 minute lecture and sign the attendance roll.
