Overview: This certificate program is intended primarily for part-time students who wish to develop their expertise in Statistics, with application to careers in the private and government sectors. All courses involve face-to-face meetings in small classes offered during the evening hours.

Degree Requirements: Students complete 9-15 hours of coursework, depending on their undergraduate background in Statistics. The curriculum covers Sampling Design, Probability Theory, Statistical Analysis, Programming and Inference.

Application Procedure: Applications are submitted to ECU’s Graduate School, online or via paper forms.  A complete application includes

  • official transcripts from all schools where seven or more hours were earned,
  • a Statement of Purpose, and
  • three letters of recommendation.

Application Deadlines: Applications for admission during the fall semester should be made before June 1. Applications for admission during the spring semester should be made by October 15.
