External grant awards support a number of doctoral students and provide graduate and undergraduate students support in their educational pursuits. Innovation and creativity are the hallmarks of the distinguished faculty at ECU excelling in cutting-edge research and scholarship aimed at discovering the unknown, recognizing the the broader impacts and enhancing quality of life. To advance high-quality research and scholarship, the Office of Research (OOR) supports faculty and students in their pursuit of external funding by fostering an environment that promotes creativity, collaboration, community, and commitment.
Through these pages, the OOR intends to guide researchers and administrators through the various procedures, from the early stages of proposal development to the final stages of award closeout. Along the way, remember that the Associate Dean for Research and the Grants Program Specialist work together to ensure that the external support needs of the College are met and that you, ultimately, succeed.
