ECU Inventors: Multi-Spectral Laser Imaging Methods and Systems for Blood Flow and Perfusion Imaging and Quantification

A trio of ECU researchers was recognized in 2018 for its advancements in medical imaging. The co-inventor team that includes Cheng Chen and Kenneth Jacobs from the Department of Physics and T. The review article “Genesis of the NASA Space Radiation Laboratory’ published by Dr. Walter Schimmerling, Adjunct Professor of Physics and Senior Scientist at NASA (retired), was recognized by the Elsevier journal “Life Sciences in Space Research” as one of the most influential and downloaded articles in journal. Dr. Jae Won Jung, Assoc. Professor of Physics, attended a signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the purpose of establishing cooperative relations between ECU and Ulsan University Hospital in Korea, with emphasis in medical research using the ion beam facilities in the ECU Accelerator Laboratory.
