Confidentiality Statement

All personal information and records pertaining to services provided within the ECU PASS Clinic are treated as strictly confidential. The relevant statutes protecting the confidentiality of behavioral health records and the limitations of confidentiality under emergency circumstances are explained within the initial consultation. Although the clinic does not technically fall under HIPAA regulations (i.e., in that we do not bill insurance or electronically transmit PHI), it is our policy to afford all our clients the same HIPAA privacy protections and associated rights regarding medical records. If you have any questions about our privacy practices and/or questions about your confidentiality, you should ask your therapist or direct your question or concern to the ECU PASS Clinic Director.
