A major option in Russian Studies is available through the BA/BS in Multidisciplinary Studies. Curriculum information about Multidisciplinary Studies: Russian Studies (BA) is available at left.

A Multidisciplinary Studies: Russian Studies (BS) is intended to be designed individually by a student with a faculty mentor. Individual structure and course preferences should be agreed with the Director of Russian Studies, Dr Elena Murenina. The curricular proposal must then be submitted for approval to the Director of Multidisciplinary Studies, Dr. Calvin Mercer, and the Multidisciplinary Studies Committee. Contact the Director of Russian Studies, Dr. Elena Murenina for further information about curricular proposal approval process. The following curriculum is intended only as a guide for interested students and faculty.
 

Proposed Curriculum for Multidisciplinary Studies: Russian Studies (BS)

Minimum degree requirement is 120 s.h. of credit as follows:

1. General education requirements (See Section 4, General Education Requirements
for all Baccalaureate Degree Programs)

English 1100, 1200 (FC:EN) (6 s.h.)

Health (FC:HL) and Exercise and Sport Science (FC:EX) (3 s.h.) (Select at least one course in each area)

Humanities (FC:HU) and Fine Arts (FC:FA) (10 s.h.) (Select at least one course in the humanities and one course in fine arts)

Mathematics (FC:MA) (3 s.h.)

Science (FC:SC) (8 s.h.) (At least one course must require laboratory work)

Social Science (FC:SO) (12 s.h.) (Select courses from at least three of the areas)
