March 16-17, 2017 Russian Studies Interdisciplinary program hosted
a special two-day Symposium titled "Resurgent Russia: Friend or For?"
The series of events included a fascinating keynote lecture from Columbia University political scientist, Alexander Cooley; student poster presentations by groups of undergraduates on topics related to Russian in the world today; and an expert faculty round table discussion by professors from Russian Studies, Economics, and Political Science. Both days included packed audiences and active audience participation, reflecting the high amount of interest in the subject matter today.
