The application process for the Security Studies Certificate program has two steps:

First, you must apply to the Graduate School for Admission as a degree-seeking student or non-degree seeking student.  If you have not been admitted to ECU's Graduate School yet, you should indicate that you wish to apply for admission to the Security Studies Certificate Program in the application.    If you are already an admitted student, you need to contact the Registrar's Office and inform them that you wish to become a Security Studies Certificate Student.  If you have to apply for Admissions to the Graduate School, click below to navigate there:

Second, the Security Studies Certificate Program needs further information in order to finalize your acceptance to the program.  Please complete a resume and a statement of intent.  The statement of intent should be a 1-page letter to the program indicating what you hope to get from the program and what you feel you can contribute to the classrooms.  Those can be sent via e-mail to:
