A Graduate Option for Working Professionals and Full-Time Students
Whether you are a part-time graduate student already in the workforce or a full-time graduate student working toward a Master degree in the fields of Public Administration, International Studies, or Criminal Justice, the Graduate Certificate in Security Studies may be just right for you.
The Certificate is a 15 hour non-degree program, which does not require you to already be admitted into a Masters degree program or having to take the Graduate Record Exams (GRE). It is self-paced, allowing students to take as few as one course a semester, depending on their workload at the office or other commitments. All courses required for the Certificate can also be taken through Distance Education utilizing a software program called Blackboard.
For students already enrolled in the Masters in Public Administration, Master of Arts in International Studies, Master of Science in Criminal Justice, and now Master in Business Administration degree programs, you may elect to take a concentration in Security Studies and earn the Certificate while completing your Masters degree.
