If you wish to develop a broad liberal arts perspective on social interaction, groups, and the consequences for individuals, then the Bachelor of Arts in Sociology degree at ECU is designed for you.

The insights and skills of Sociology are applicable to every job setting and to all of the major problems we encounter.

The theoretical perspectives and the skills of social research are eminently useful in our diverse, data-driven, contemporary world.

Checksheets are available to help you organize your course choices. All students must complete the Foundations Curriculum Checksheet. B.A. students must complete the B.A. Checksheet and a minor checksheet, which must be tailored to the requirements of your specific minor. Information about minors as well as descriptions of courses are available in the ECU Undergraduate Catalog.

If you would like further information regarding the B.A. program, please e-mail Dr. Susan Pearce.
