Center for Innovation in Technology and Engineering Outreach (CITE)
The mission of CITE is to provide a two way conduit or means of access for regional business and industry to the resources of the College of Engineering and Technology. This access to University resources will be committed to productivity improvement in these industries. Transferring best practices from ECU classrooms to practical applications in the off campus community will strengthen business opportunities while positioning ECU students to be more successful in supporting the regional business community.
CITE’s focus is to boost the economic growth in the Eastern North Carolina region and is based on relationships with regional community colleges. This effort is to grow the business base in eastern North Carolina in a team effort with other state organizations. CITE provides program development through training and project topics in a variety of areas including, but not limited to:
Lean Six – Sigma (Training & Implementation)
Supply Chain Management (multiple training levels)
Warehouse Planning and Logistics
Project Management (PMP instructor, MS Project)
Technical and Professional Writing, Presentation Skills
Safety Training and Program Development
Manufacturing & Maintenance Topics
