Advising Info for BA Students
The BA in communication prepares students to work in public relations and journalism in business, government, and community agencies. The program offers traditional courses in mass communication along with courses reflecting the dynamic interpersonal and technological communication changes in today’s society. In order to declare a major in the BA in communication , a student must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA, and must demonstrate a minimum 2.5 GPA in COMM 1001, 1002. A minimum grade of C is required in all COMM courses that count toward the major. Minimum degree requirement is 126 semester hours of credit, including 12 semester hours of a single foreign language.
