Welcome to CommCrew!

CommCrew is an organization for friends and alumni of ECU's School of Communication.

We connect the school and communication professionals. Every year we work to create more resources and events for graduates and communication professionals. CommCrew also provides School of Communication news, information, job information and networking.

CommCrew supports student activities and scholarships for the School of Communication. There are levels of membership to fit all budgets. Your money supports financial aid for outstanding students.

CommCrew Freshman Scholarship ($1000)

  • Eligibility: Incoming freshmen admitted to the School of Communication; minimum 3.0 high school GPA.

  • 2012 CommCrew Freshman Scholarship recipient:
    • The School of Communication is proud to announce Samantha Jimenez as the 2012 CommCrew Freshman Scholarship recipient. A native New Yorker, currently calling Apex, N.C. her home, Jimenez enjoys working out at the Student Recreation Center, participating as an active member in PRSSA, meeting new people, and planning events for the Residence Hall Association in Greene Hall.

      “My main career goal is to be successful in public relations. I hope to have a career as an event planner of some sort, such as corporate or nonprofit events. I want to be able to help all of my future clients and successfully inform the public,” Jimenez said.

      Jimenez is very passionate and proud to be a communication major at East Carolina University and is looking forward to continuing her studies with the School of Communication.
