Eligibility – Undergraduate and Graduate Communication Majors
2) The David B. Martin Memorial Scholarship Fund ($1000)
Eligibility – Journalism & Media Production Majors
3) The Lester C. and Alta M. Rees Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund ($1000)
Eligibility – Out of State Journalism & Media Production Majors, Ranked in Top 10% of High School Graduating Class
4) Comm Crew Freshman Scholarship ($1000)
Eligibility – Incoming freshman admitted to the School of
Communication, Minimum 3.0 HS GPA

2) Freedom Forum/NCAA Sports Journalism Scholarship program
Through a $359,000 gift from The Freedom Forum, the NCAA is in its 17th year of offering a scholarship program for sports journalism students. This program is designed specifically to assist future sports journalists, while promoting quality sports journalism education at the collegiate level. Eight $3,000 scholarships will be awarded for the 2009–10 academic year to outstanding sports journalists. Candidates for these awards include only full time juniors. The deadline is Dec. 12, 2008.
