Alumni and Friends,

Your continued support of the College is critical to our future success. The College of Fine Arts and Communication has benefited over the years from the generosity of countless supporters—alumni, friends, foundations and corporations.

That support has made it possible for the College to continue the tradition of excellence in educating our students and providing cultural opportunities to eastern North Carolina.

There are many ways you can support the College. Whatever the vehicle, your support enables us to continue to enhance the education of our students.

Priorities for the College of Fine Arts and Communication
  • Scholarships help ensure that the best students can attend ECU regardless of their financial circumstances.  They may be funded on an annual basis or endowed, and naming opportunities are available. Scholarships may be established in any of the College’s schools or programs and tailored to meet your philanthropic goals.
  • Endowed Professorships support research and projects that offer great potential for innovations and exceptional learning opportunities.  Income from the endowment can support salary and benefits, research expenses and travel for the recipient.  An endowed professorship attracts highly respective faculty members as well as the best and the brightest students.  The state of North Carolina can match your gift, if qualified, with the Distinguished Professors Endowment Trust Fund, matching  $1 for every $2 donated.
  • Annual gifts
Unrestricted contributions to the College impact the yearly operating budget and enhance the College’s ability to build and sustain a team of gifted faculty and a diverse student body. Unrestricted gifts are particularly valuable because they are made with the foresight that educational needs change over time. These gifts permit the College and its schools to allocate resources where they are needed most during the current school year.
Information regarding endowments for scholarships, professorships, and other programs are available upon request. There is a broad range of naming opportunities for gifts of an appropriate size.
