Join us for ITALY INTENSIVES, a unique study abroad experience located in the heart of Tuscany, birthplace of the Renaissance and one of the most beautiful and culturally rich areas of the world.   ECU students, and visiting students from other universities (for the same price), travel on fall and spring semester programs, or during three different summer sessions. Up to 6 credits can be earned during each summer session and 12-15 credits during each semester. In the past 4 years, 250 students have enrolled in our programs from disciplines that include art, theater, dance, hospitality, journalism, public relations, communication, political science, nursing, business, economics, allied health sciences, education, psychology, architecture, honors college, and more!  Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to take ECU classes while studying abroad in Italy!  An unforgettable experience at an amazing value!! 

Certaldo Alto, our school site, is an authentic, medieval walled city where one can easily imagine life in the Middle Ages. Our ECU classrooms are located on the main street in the village, surrounded by towers, gates, fountains, prisons, the Vicar’s palace and the great writer Boccaccio’s home. Our students study in the Palazzo Stiozzi Ridolfi, a space renovated and designed specifically for ECU, just steps away from beautiful, spacious apartments where we live surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and gorgeous views of the Tuscan countryside.
