Our 2013 expanded 4-week summer program will allow students from ANY major to earn 3-6 credits while living and traveling in Italy. The program cost includes 3 days of study in Rome and 3 days of study in Venice as well as an overnight in Cinque Terre on the Mediterranean coast.  During the four weeks students also travel to Florence, Pisa, San Gimignano, Orvieto, Assisi, Montepulciano and Castellina from our home base in the medieval Tuscan village of Certaldo Alto.

While in Certaldo students live in beautiful apartments or bed and breakfast lodgings with 2 students in a room, (4 to an apartment) with a shared kitchen, bathroom and dining spaces; all utilities are included. Dinner on class days is provided. On all school-sponsored overnight trips students share nice hostel lodgings with breakfast and dinner provided. These meals and all lodgings are included in the program fee along with transportation to and from the airport in Italy, trains, boats, buses and metros on all school trips, international health insurance, 24 hour local assistance and tuition!

Academics

During the summer term, students may choose to take 1 or 2 classes, earning 3 or 6 credits (all classes are 3 credits each.)

Classes will be taught in Certaldo as well as on site when we travel.

Our classrooms in Certaldo have Internet access and state-of-the-art color and black/white printers, scanner, copy machine and digital projector. 

Some classes may require course work prior to or following the travel in Italy.

Class syllabi will be sent to enrolled students early during spring semester with suggested supplies or preparations.
