College of Fine Arts and Communication

Summer Program 2016

In 2016, we will offer two different 26-day programs that will allow students from ANY major to earn 3-7 credits while living and traveling in Italy. The program cost is wonderful value, including 3 days of study in Rome and 3 days of study in Venice as well as an overnight in Florence and in Cinque Terre on the Mediterranean coast.  During the three weeks students will also travel to Pisa, San Gimignano, Orvieto, Montepulciano, Volterra and Siena from our home base in the medieval Tuscan village of Certaldo Alto.

This year we are offering a variety of classes that satisfy fine arts foundation requirements as well as YOGA, exercise 1000 (a one credit class).  Students may take 3 hours, 6 hours, or 7 hours of credits in the summer term.

While in Certaldo students live in gorgeous, furnished apartments or bed and breakfast lodgings with 2 students in a room, (4 to an apartment) with a shared kitchen, bathroom and living/dining spaces; all utilities are included. Dinner on all class days is provided. On all school-sponsored overnight trips students share very nice hostel or hotel lodgings with breakfast and dinner provided. These meals and all lodgings are included in the program fee along with transportation to and from the airport in Italy, trains, boats, buses and metros on all school trips, museum entrances, tours, international health insurance, 24 hour local assistance, tours and tuition!
