Ed. D. Columbia University, Teachers College.  B.M., M.M., University of Houston. Diploma, Mozarteum Summer Academy, Salzburg, Austria. Certified by Contemporary Commercial Music Vocal Pedagogy Institute at Shenandoah University. Has performed in opera, operetta, concert, oratorio, recital, chamber music, and music theater throughout the United States. Appeared on the PBS Special Masterclass, with Seattle Opera, Seattle Symphony, Hidden Valley Opera, Opera in the Ozarks, ECU Loessin Summer Theater, Carousel in Concert at Carnegie Hall, and Sweeney Todd with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. She is a five-time Metropolitan Opera Regional Finalist.  Awards from the Texas Federation of Music Clubs, The Vocal Arts Foundation in San Francisco, and the Eleanor Anderson Lieber Awards sponsored by Portland Opera. Four recordings to her credit–The Frogs and Sweeney Todd by Sondheim, American Songs in Recital, a solo CD, and the Pulitzer-prize winning recording On the Transmigration of Souls by John Adams recorded with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. She has served on the voice faculties at The Crane School of Music/SUNY Potsdam, at St. Lawrence University, Ithaca College, the Boston Conservatory, Berklee College of Music, and New York University. 1995 NATS Teaching Intern.
