M.M., Eastern Washington University; B.M. (with honors), New England Conservatory. Studied oboe with Richard Woodhams, of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and Wayne Rapier, of the Boston Symphony. Active recitalist and chamber music performer. Principal oboist of Sun Valley Music Festival Orchestra for three seasons. Has performed with many orchestras, including The North Carolina Symphony, Charlotte Symphony, and Spokane Symphony Orchestra. Study in summer 1982 in Austria with Jurg Schaeftlein, principal oboist of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. Former faculty member at Washington State University.
