Friday, April 12, 2013
4-9 PM
Piano competitors arrive, register in the lobby of the A. J. Fletcher Music Center, and practice on the Steinway concert grand performance instruments in A. J. Fletcher Recital Hall (Senior) and the Carter Rehearsal Performance Hall/110 (Junior) according to practice schedule. No contestant will have access to these instruments prior to their performance on the day of the competition. Practice rooms are available on the second and third floors of the A. J. Fletcher Music Center. Students traveling long distances should plan to stay overnight in a local hotel in order to practice on the performance instruments on Friday evening. Registration continues in the lobby of the A. J. Fletcher Music Center.
9 AM – Noon
Senior and Junior Competitions take place concurrently in the Recital Hall (Senior) and the Carter Rehearsal Performance Hall/110 (Junior).
Noon - 1:15 PM
Lunch (on your own)
1:15 PM
Competition continues. Announcement of prize winners and awarding of prizes will take place within 45 minutes after each division of the competition ends.
