MUSC 6006 (or 6016) Music Structure and Style (3 s.h.) REQUIRED
MUSC 6990: Final Project in Music Education (3 s.h.) REQUIRED DURING THE FINAL SEMESTER

MUSC 6206: Introduction to Graduate Study in Music Theory (2 s.h.) This course may be required without degree credit for remedial study in music theory. An evaluation of previous accomplishment in music theory and music history is required for admission to any graduate degree in music and will be administered prior to full admission to the program.
Applied Music: 2 s.h. (face-to-face, on ECU campus or online)
2 s.h. of applied music: requirement may be fulfilled by any applied music course or the following:
MUSC 6316: Advanced Applied Score Analysis (2 s.h.)
