Workshop Objectives 1. Students will learn to how to perform and teach hand drumming ensembles and songs from West Africa, the Caribbean, and other world music cultures.
2. Students will demonstrate their comprehension of the subject matter by performing examples and planning procedures for teaching.
3. Students will discuss the social, cultural, and historical contexts and connections of World Music Drumming to West African, Caribbean, African-American, and other cultures.
