This is a preliminary letter to inform you that the School of Art and Design is planning an Alumni Exhibition for the fall of 2011. This will be a large downtown Greenville event with three exhibition venues: The Wellington B. Gray Gallery, The Greenville Museum of Art and Pitt County Arts Council at Emerge.
The exhibition is open to School of Art and Design graduates (undergraduate and graduate students) who graduated in the spring of 2008 and before. In addition, we ask that you only submit work that has been made since 2006. We request that no work be larger than 6 feet by 6 feet. Please send it ready to hang/install without contacting the gallery director.
We are requesting all participants make a $25.00 donation that will go in its entirety to the School of Art and Design student scholarship fund, so you will be giving assistance to the next generation of young artists at East Carolina University. In addition, all three exhibition venues will take a 20% commission on all sales and this will also go toward student scholarships.
The dates for the exhibition are August 31 through October 1, 2011, with a gala opening reception on Friday, September 9, 2011.

your artwork by April 30, 2011.
Artwork should arrive by August 22, 2011. You will be notified in advance as to which venue your piece will be sent and exhibited.
This will be an exciting exhibition showcasing the creative work of our School of Art and Design alumni. We hope that you will participate and look forward to your response. Additional information and updates will be forthcoming as needed.
