The goal of the Printmaking Area is to provide our students with anintroduction to a broad range of technical and creative tools that willallow them to discover new ways of adding to the printmakingtradition. Processes include intaglio, lithography, relief, silkscreen, photomechanical techniques, and book arts media. Along with the technical processes, our students learn about artisticself-analysis through group and individual critiques.
Printmaking majors are encouraged to actively participate in twostudent organizations. The Printmaking Guild is comprised ofprintmaking students and promotes printmaking within the School of Artand Design, the university, and the community. The Visual ArtsForum is a school wide organization that functions as a liaison betweenstudent government, member organizations, faculty, and staff.
