Room 1101 – Input | Output | Exposure Room

General-purpose room dedicated to digital manipulations, filmmaking, and exposure of litho plate, etching plates, and screens for screen printing. Equipment includes:

  • NuArc Screen Printing Exposure Unit
  • NuArc Plate burner
  • Digital Workstations with scanner and printer

Room 1102 – Lithography Studio

The lithography studio is a dedicated workspace with several tables, equipment and chemistry to process stone, plate, and photo based lithographic processes. Equipment includes:

  • Takach litho press – 33” x 57”            
  • Charles Brand litho press – 24” x 40”
  • Graining sink
  • Lithographic limestone collection
  • Variety of leather and composite Rollers

Room 1103 - Intaglio Studio

The intaglio studio is dedicated to traditional and exploratory processes in etching, engraving, mezzotint, and relief. The room is well equipped with work areas, rollers, and materials, including:

  • Sturges intaglio press – 30” x 60”
  • American French Tool intaglio press – 31” x 53”
  • Hot plate, Rosin Box, matte cutting area, work tables

Room 1104 – Printmaking Survey Room

The printmaking survey room is dedicated to the introductory classes. The room is set up to facilitate an introduction to intaglio, relief, and plate lithography. The survey studio is equipped with the following:

  • Rembrandt Graphic Arts litho press – 24” x 42”
  • Charles Brand intaglio press – 20” x 40”
  • Charles Brand intaglio press – 22” x 44”
  • Hot Plate and Rosin Box
  • Work tables

Room 1105 – Graduate Studio

Each graduate student and studio major is gives space to work in addition to easy access the specific studios. Central to all the studios is the Graduate Studio, which house workspace, pin boards, flat files, workstation, screen table and is adaptable to suit those using the space.  

Room 1106 – Screen Print Studio

The printmaking area has fully converted to water-based screen printing processes and houses several table, storage, and washout area dedicate to the process. The Screen printing studio contains the following equipment:

  • Variety of Screen print tables
  • Power washer and wash out sink
  • Work areas and necessary tools 

Room 1107 – Multi-Purpose Room

A flexible studio that serves screen-printing, letterpress, book arts, paper casting, workshops, visiting artists, and additional studio space.
