Portfolio Review process takes place on reading day during the Fall Semester and the Spring Semester. Results will be emailed to students and posted on the sculpture bulletin board at the end of the review day.
Review Process Procedure
The review processes for acceptance in to sculpture will consist of a three member of the faculty. Two faculty members from the sculpture area and another member of the school of art each is given a form to fill out with the evaluation criteria listed on a scale of 1-10. One is the lowest and ten is the highest point. Each faculty will provide a written critique and any recommendations for improvement or comments on the student artwork. Each student’s sculpture and portfolio is discussed among the review committee. The area coordinator then writes a summary sheet of the results and comments for each student. We do not have a cap on the number of students that we accept. The way that we regulate space is by sharing space with the new students until a new space is available. Students must be sculpture majors to obtain a space at least in their third semester of sculpture.
